I cook grits as a side dish for dinner. Use chicken broth instead of water, add some onion and bell pepper. Salt and pepper to taste.
Very good.
 
The three years we lived in ohio we had to order them from the local grocery by the case....grocery store owner said he had to buy a case to get em and he knew none of the rest of his customers would buy them. so we did. ordere thre or four cases per year....

of course we practically force fed em to all the yankess who came to the house.
