Probably because he's a kid, and more likely it was his first.

Good morning. Why would you let him shoot a 6pt ?

Well ya see Kingfisher I had no controll of what he shot since I'm in Texas and he lives in Ohio.
But since it was his first deer I would have done just like his dad,and let him shoot it.
But to answer your question I think the smile on the little fellers face of having shot his first buck out weighs the fact that a young buck had been shot. :nod:
