    Murray Greys from NZ

Very nice pictures and animals. I don't know much about them and I've never seen one in "real life" but from what I've heard they seem to be a great breed. They sure look productive.

    Breed Suggestions

Mostly anyone is going to try and sell you on "their" breed. In my case, Angus. But what do you plan on using the animal for? Breeding, show, etc?

    A-I bulls angus ?

Truer words were never spoken. Fortunately up here the shows are still more about the cattle rather than the fitting-most of the 4-H shows don't even allow fitting, just bathing/brushing and a clip job if you so choose. A little bit of fitting is OK, but all the sprays and glues and false hair...

    A-I bulls angus ?

I'm not a big fan of clubby type cattle(and I show, you just don't see those types up here)...it would be nice to see the bull under the fitting/photoshop, then make a judgment. He seems short bodied but its a bad angle to tell too. I'd rather wait and see what happens after he's been out for...

    Belted Galloways ????

I'd say get the wife one to keep her happy but spend your money on a breed you can make money with at the sale barn if you want to be in the cattle business. I think your wife might be disappointed though..all the belties I've met have been nasty little critters.

    angus question

Almost every breed there is of every type of livestock is growing-people have been trying to get bigger cattle for years, and now its getting to be a bit much. I don't know if you read American Agriculturist but they had some great articles in this months issue about how cattle are getting...

    Color question

I am not very good with genetics and that kind of thing, but I have had purebred Angus come out with a little white on the udder or back part of the belly. To my knowledge, this is accepted by the AA association as long as the white is not in front of the navel, above the stomach line, or on...

    Angus AM question

Well the minimum order from MMI was 5 kits so I had to order 5 but they are only 2 bucks-I'll have to pay the fee when I send them back in so i guess I'll wait and see how much that is. Mama should be preggers too so I'll potentially need the other test later. Appreciate the input, and keeping...

    Angus AM question

That is very helpful. I will get in touch with the sire's owner and order the test kits as well. Appreciate it.

    Angus AM question

Heifer is M&M Blue Moon Blackberry #16516606, Sire is RAB-EGL Blue Moon 4407M # 14422326 and dam is M&M Luke Mayberry #15623613. Thanks. Do you think if I call AAA they can give me the info? Usually when I call them it is a big runaround.

    Angus AM question

I just got the paper back on my Angus heifer. First thing I noticed is that the registration papers look a little different (its been about 2 yrs since I've had one that I registered, I've just been selling calves) and on the bottom part of the paper it said something along the lines of "an...

    Critique please?

Thanks for posting the pic chippie. And thanks to the rest for your opinions! I am curious to see if she will grow into that skin or not :)

    Critique please?

I would appreciate some critique of this heifer. I like her, and would like to show her next year. She is just on pasture right now, this pic is from a couple weeks ago. She is a January Angus heifer. I am wondering, however, about the ears. You can't really tell from this pic, but her ears...

    Uruguayan Angus

That must have been cool to see, the pictures sure are. There are a lot of differences and it is quite interesting. Certainly some good animals.

    Some pics of my girls

None of them are bred right now-my grandparents just sold their farm and I just recently got control of the herd (my grandfather wasn't really on the ball and he had some health issues) so I am still getting caught up-did their vaccinations yesterday. I have been looking around for a bull-would...

    Some pics of my girls

They seem to be doing well this summer-loving the pasture. The rain we had the past few weeks really made the grass tall and green. They are a little dirty though from the mud! Petunia-She's 8, and the boss of everybody :P My Hereford with the calf (not hers) Me with Pansy-she is both a...
