    Digital Phone service

High speed internet is here thru the cable company. My neighbor signed up for something called voice over internet phone (voip). Telephone is routed thru the high speed internet and is supposed to be alot cheaper. Anyone use this? How is it?

    October in ohio (pics)

Just a few pictures of the colors here locally. I was in Moundsville and Wheeling WV last week and the trees had not turned there as much as they had here. Sure is pretty here for bow hunting season.

    Fair or Not Fair

We have a separate "cloverbud club" within our traditional club here. We try our darndest to keep them active and having fun. Sorry you and your son are having such a bad 4-H experience.

    Cattle Evaluation Scale

Definitely the "char breeders" mentality. :D :D :D Does make good sense though, Mike.

    Busted

Weird maybe, winnin...dang right, hunting weather...????? we hunt in layers of clothes except for spring turkey. And it is too hot to hunt then anyway. I like to see tracks in the snow when I hunt. I did not choose to live in the southern humidity like you ya hoos. We did manage a little...

    Busted

Hit 88 here today. The 50% humidity is killing me. I'm eagerly waiting on winter. Caustic, take this humid crap back to east texas where it belongs.

    Forbidden fruit

Normally we do too Mike. Just too dry this year. We burnt down a pasture a few years back to knife in corn. Mowed the stalks for bedding after the corn was picked. The next spring was the best cover of clover I have seen. All native grass.

    sweet tea anyone?

Ol' Caustic and LA4 learned a few years back that I am a true yankee (in their words). I don't drink sweet tea but I make probably 2 pitchers a day. Rest of the family loves it.

    Hey Bull Lady...

Just curious about your venture for a handgun. The other thread got a bit off track and I quit following. I shot a Smith and Wesson 38 last night. Pretty sweet little gun. Light and compact yet being a revolver...looks intimidating. I was surprised at the number of men that carry that exact gun.

    Handgun Question

Bull Lady, try this link... http://64.29.201.168/forum/index.php?showtopic=716 I'm not against the concealed carry. I guess I just don't think I have a need to carry a pistol with me. The gun rack in the pick up holds a rifle. Hubby is thinking about going thru the course so he has one with him...

    Moving a grain bin

It is not that hard to dismantle it and transport that way. Safer and less stressful. Call around to the local elevators. They have special "scaffolding" to bolt to the bin sections while you unbolt. Be sure to switch off with the feller inside the bin wrenching, it gets hot.

    I feel real dumb!

I feel bad for you Sid but I have to say...that is what you get for working on Sunday. No matter what is going on, what the weather is doing...we don't work on Sunday. Hubby worked on the semi one Sunday afternoon and it was broke down 120 miles from by wednesday. Good luck getting that tooth...

    Three Legged Calf ~ Photos

Sorry guys but NONE of this makes any sense to me. If you pencil it out I bet nothing would add up. In my neck of the woods, bottle babies are a dime a dozen. Shoot the calf with the broken leg and graft a bottle baby onto the cow. Then you are only out the few $$ you spent on the new calf and...

    Kencove

This is the one we use. http://www.fence-electric.com/ShopDetai ... =EXB6Great charger. Lightning came in on it several years ago. We sent it in to Kencove and they had it fixed and back to us in 2 weeks for $80. I like the led's on the front. The more green lights you see, the farther away...

    New coin

The only reason I have any of those coins is cause the post office makes you take them in chance. AND there is a vending machine that hubby uses that spits chance out for a 5 in dollar coins.

Are you a Member of your State Cattlemen's Association?

I ask the OCA association the same question every year and get shut up right directly. No one wants to field my questions when I start out with "Do I get better representation if I have 200 head since I have to pay more for membership?" I get told that they will work just as hard for the feller...

    Red Runts

Can I borrow some of your sunshine? I'll return it in a couple weeks, I promise. I like the red heifer. But I've been known to fancy red cattle too. :) :cboy:

    Amish Adult Bookstore

The Amish are more "worldly" and up on the modern things that most folk realize.
