You're right, there are two rick cords ( 24" X 4' X 8' ) and three rick cords ( 16" X 4' X 8' ) but how ever you do it a full cord is 4' X 4' X 8' over all. Boogie we have the same problem with our wood burning stove, too hot in the living areas but pretty chilly in the back part of the house...

Yes, the Dogwoods, the Redbuds & Wisteria (?) were all in bloom a week ago. We had a spell of warm weather ( 2 weeks of 70s & 80s for highs ). I'm at work in Texas right now and they've had a few nights below 32 F while I"ve been gone. I hope it hasn't bit things back too bad. ;-)

Shingles might burn but the siding won't and if it did you would be releasing the fiber ( asbestos won't burn, that's why it was used as insulation ) into the air. Not telling you what to do but I'd think about using a method like the SSS, maybe RBS ( remove, bury & shutup ). ;-)
