May 30 was the last time we had over 1/4 rain on the farm :( !! It's a dust bowl and we're suppose to be Sub-Tropical!!! If it don't rain soon the cattle market down here may get saturated with sellers!
I'll echo what's already been said, SOIL TEST is by far the most $$$$ saving thing you can do. Not just fertilizer but ph or lime, mineral deficincy and more. Take the short time and pay the $5 or $10 and save hundreds of $$$. ;-)
What are some good ways to feed minerals to cattle? I have bison and I've been told that bison will tear up mineral feeders. What are some alternitives? I'm feeding the Cargill Right Now Minerals.
Received something in the mail the other day "Mix 30" It's a liquid supplement. Has anyone ever messed with liquid feed? Pro's and Con's. Do ya'll know anything about this particular one? :cboy:
I'm fix'n to start mixing it with my sweet feed. I don't know what rate, but until I hear I'm going to experiment. PS. I'm feeding to bison so they have a higher tolerance for protein. I'll pass on anything I discover! :cboy:
