    cant catch him..dangit

You're just pawning your problem off on someone else. Buyers remember where they got the problems from, and it could hurt you in the long run. I would just haul him to the processor and be glad to have a little beef from a problem.

    One word, "veal". :D

    Almost done!

Good luck on the flush! What is the cows #?

    How bad...

A red angus with a white bag? The nose is pretty light colored too. I don't know much about red angus, but that looks cross bred to me. She doesn't have much butt, the rest looks decent.

    Bred Heifer Purchase Question

Crossed with what? Sounds way to expensive for cross bred cattle to me. I wouldn't give anything even close to that unless they were baldies, but that's just me.

AI calving done, seven for seven

Looks like a couple of nice calves. That first cow looks pretty big. Is that last cow angus or cross, lots of white?

    Heifer Age breeding prospect determination

What is your minimum pelvic size, and what size calf do you figure the minimum can safely give birth too?

    Neighbor's Bulls

Yep, had a horny cow of mine backed up to the fence and the bull bred her, through the fence. Wish I would have thought to give her a shot of lut.

    Heifer Age breeding prospect determination

Or you could just breed them at 12 to 14 months like we do and preg check them. :D I don't know anything about the red angus, I have black, but they almost always take on the first breeding. I have only had one heifer so far that we couldn't catch cycling, and she sure tasted good.

    synchrony report

Is 5492 out of 036? Tell me more about the stifle problems, do you think it is inherited or from a specific animal, or just an injury?

    bull pawing the ground/blowing snot

    Yup, what he said. :2cents:

    new calf on the ground

Congrats on the new calf. How is the heat down that way?

    First heat wave loss?

Had a 77 pound heifer born Friday, at least it cooled of in the low 90's long enough for her to calve.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY BULL?

Couple of things I see, is that an umbilical hernia? There isn't much too him in the rear end department. Do his rear feet cross each other when he walks? As someone else pointed out, he looks more cow like.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY BULL?

Sounds like one of those cult compounds, young pregnant girls, multiple wives, father, brother, tower, FBI should be closing in anytime now. :lol2:

    Genex BA Heifer Bull?

Can't help much with that, most of mine are in the 6 frame range and a couple hundred pounds heavier. I have some Sinclair Extravagant 6X7 and OCC Prototype 847P to try, they would probably do what you want to do, but not any real good data on them yet, still a little early. I think Oldtimer...
  18. RD-Sam

    First heat wave loss?

I have one that should calve any day now, it's been over 100 heat index, the calf is still alive and kicking though. I can't wait for 40 degree temperatures, i really don't care much for all this heat.

    Fertility?

Chances are they are your best cows if they are easy to make cycle with drugs. If they aren't in good condition there probably isn't enough hormones in the world to make them cycle. It just boils down to proper management and selecting the best cows.
