I asked our Vet about it a couple years ago and he said to do exactly what you have said you do. So, that is how we do it.

Last summer I had a hiefer that tried nursing on some Gelbvieh cows that had calves, some would let her. She had been weaned 6 weeks. She was an Angus. I then put her back in with the Angus herd, and she got the idea quick, as they were dry, and ornery at her.
I don't agree. Purebred is what the breed registry defines as purebred. Maybe your statement would be correct to say Fullblood instead of purebred. :cboy:
