    Grub worms

Does anyone know how to rid a garden of these absolutely aggrevating little be nice's? I have been digging potatoes, and have found that almost a quarter of my crop has been enjoyed by these things. Do they even serve a purpose? Why do they have to eat all the good ones? Is there a...

    Garden Progress?

I planted really early this year, Feb 10th. The onions were set out on Jan 27th. I got a lot of other stuff up, like squash, cukes, watermelons, corn, beans, peppers, and peas but because we had a pattern of wet weather, I couldnt plant them till the end of March. But they're coming up...

    Spring has to be close!

Went and checked the 'taters and onions today and found about 10 or so tater sprouts coming up. Onions are still looking good too. Gonna be planting beans and peas within the next week or so, as soon as it dries up a bit.

    Where to buy seed potatoes??

I would check with a nursery. They may not have them in stock but they may be able to order them for you or know where to buy 'em.

    New Taters

We sell at a farmer's market. This is a trial year since its new ground, last year we planted 1000 pounds but because we had so much rain, we only made about 2500 pounds. Most of the seeds rotted in the ground.

    New Taters

I planted mine on Sunday. There right next to the 350 onion plants I set out. Gonna see how the new ground grows 'em this year. Cut up and planted 250 pounds. It sure makes it easier with the 'tater planter we built last year.

I didnt get the impression that gardening is easy. my grandparents have a 2-3 acre plot and my they do most of the work since I work 60-70 plus hours a week at my job. I help them when I can. I am trying to find information for them to make it easier to control weeds besides chopping with a...

    spraying for weeds

What would be a good weed killer to use this winter before planting potatoes and tomatoes next year? Any thing special for these types of crops? Any suggestions on how to keep the weeds from taking over? We got about 2-3 acres of garden so its kinda hard to "chop weeds". TIA p.s. most of...
