Does anyone know how to rid a garden of these absolutely aggrevating little be nice's? I have been digging potatoes, and have found that almost a quarter of my crop has been enjoyed by these things. Do they even serve a purpose? Why do they have to eat all the good ones? Is there a chemical that is safe for food plants? When is the best time to spray? Why do they have to bother me?

Chickens like them too. I know they make a grub killer for lawns, but I dont know how it's labeled for gardens. I would check that out. What I've seen was granular you sprinkel out and I suppose the rains water it in.

I think in most cases, grubs are larva form of June Bugs.
