i put the high skid shoes on my JD (kuhn). It does enable me to cut higher. Downfall is that because the blades are more level than aiming down, the cut is not as clean.

Maybe with your baler. My JD 4x5 makes bales that weigh 750-800. My squares (coastal bermuda) around here weigh 50-55lbs. Therefore one JD round bale is equal to around 15 small square.

I bought this economy model and it works pretty good. My Angus weigh around 1100 -1300 lbs. If it breaks I have a welder and can fix it cheaper than buying a more expensive one up front.

I don't know what type of grass it is, but coastal will hold it's protein quite a while. As a matter of fact the Noble Foundation and others recommend stockpiling grass and then feeding it through the winter months vs hay. No labor, baling, hauling or storage costs...........

We have been using Y Tex for about 17 years. After about 5 or 6 years they start to fade. Then the plastic starts to get brittle and they end up breaking the stud (usually hangs up on barbwire or a cedar limb).

Liquid will rust your equipment. If you apply it at warm temps, part will volatilize and dissapear. Best to use it in spring only.

You can't read well. I didn't say that calling a vet was cheap. I said that cattle ranchers are too cheap to pay a vet a decent rate.
