I was able to find the wide front, is 450$ a fair price? It's in good shape just needs some paint and i think it could pass as new.

How easy would it be to change from a narrow front to the wide axle. I am asuming that the frame is the exact same

    Allis Chalmers wd45

I more or less wanted it for running a small manure spreader, a small star tedder and a rake, rear mount bale spear for square bales, and a snow blower for getting my lane open in the winter. Nothing fast or really hard my biggest concern is how it will handle a little star tedder.

    Palpataion

Is it ok to see a small amount of blood on the glove after having a cow palpatated. My normal vet did the preg. check, she is a 5 yr. old simm. She's confirmed preg. and due early oct. It was only for a second when the vet pulled his arm out there was a spot of blood about the size of two...

I do not have a bottle handy to look at and cant find it online. How long do you wait after you apply 2-4-d until you can reseed the dead spots.

    Pasture Downtime

Now the owner sprayed Crossbow on some of the larger spots of broad leafs a little before i put the cows out. Would anyone recommend re seeding these spots. Or just let them go till cows are off for the year.

    Pasture Downtime

Ive never had to do anything with pastures before so forgive me. But would the 2-4-d leave dead spots where theres more buttercups and broadleafs than good grass.

    Pasture Downtime

I have a few smaller pastures that i will be moving cows off of shortly. I just started using these this year. They will have about 3 weeks to a month until i put some first calf heifers out again. In this amount of time what could i do to help get rid of some broad leaf weeds and tons of...

    One big Herford steer!

I can beleive they kept the lead steer to use over and over again, with all the problems they would have had on the journey. Not only did they fight weather animals disease drought, etc. They had to deal with the farmers up north once they got there. The northern farmers didnt want the longhorns...

    One big Herford steer!

From what i understand the majority of the drives came from texas and other some other southern states. That cattle were driven north to the expanding rail head. This allowed southern producers to become much more competitive, and turn a nice profit. Most were brought back the way they came, was...

    One big Herford steer!

Lead steers have been used for a long time. They were used in long cattle drives way back when. They were often called the moses steer because the led the rest of the herd. Im not sure if thats kinda what they meant or not. The moses steer was never sent to slaughter when the drives were over...

    cow/calf pair price-high or low?????

Southeast Pa. Its mostly dairy's around here. I figured there being less beef ops that there wasnt as much competition for the beef breeds. If theres a big sale and there is a lot of out of state buyers thats a different story. There really isnt any farms in our area that are the scale of most...

    Heifer age?

Im sorry but new holland is a joke with their "special" feeder sales. I have bought a couple there still cheaper than the heiffers of the same weight and i still got the reciepts went to check just to make sure.
