Rapid Fire is only 3/4 blood if I remember correctly but we have a really nice heifer out of him this year. Good growth and thick and stout.
Mid January calf.
High selling bull at Hooks Bred for Balance sale last February. Got to see this bull and he is great when it comes to phenotype and you look at his numbers and he is outstanding. I’m not a firm believer in numbers but was impressed when I saw his.
No sir. Charles W Herbster himself called me two weeks ago and told me about the America calves they had on the ground and he loved them. Saw pictures that Kelly posted on Instagram and there is no lying that he is siring calves that have the look.
I have heard from others that his fertility is great. That’s another reason I chose him. Have you had any shell shock calves before or will these be your first?
After changing my mind a million times about what bull to use on one of our heifers I decided to go with Shell shocked. May breed two or three to him... Really like what he has to offer..
Hopefully he works good on angus females.
That second one is gonna make a great bull though. I’d take him :)
The first one seems to be a little weak in his top as well? I’m not a pro at this so just going off of what I think. Would make a great steer
Jeanne I believe she was in the 75-80lbs range. She is out of a MONSTER of a cow. I was thinking Gold Standard May help knock the size down on her calves a little bit.:
This is the heifer I was planning on breeding him to. She looks pretty crappy in the picture because I can’t take pictures worth a darn but she is quite nice in person. But now quite a few of people have told me to breed her to Gold Standard from Griswold cattle... Thoughts...
