Requesting thoughts from the Gun Gurus...

It's an interesting thing to observe. I will add this, while talking to my local gun guy(services all the local LE, etc. A legit gun shop and a guy in the know) he said the 6.5 CM future is a question mark. He said the military branches are very seriously considering transitioning to it but...

Requesting thoughts from the Gun Gurus...

I went down to my local gun shop and spoke with the owner for awhile. In my neck of the woods, he isnt moving any 7mm 08. He said no one uses that around these parts for whatever reason. 6.5 CM is just barely catching on so a tad better ammo availability than 7mm. He confirmed what Brute...

A little more research: The 7mm-08 and 6.5 Creedmoor are ballistically equivalent(7mm edges very slightly in most categories). Creedmoor wins the recoil contest. Ammo prices are essentially the same. Both short action(my preference).

This is quite ironic as I just ordered that very tripod in graphite 5 days ago! Had a few Amazon gift cards to use up. How satisfied are you with it? It had fantastic online reviews.

Thanks guys. Mostly hunting. Some long range target fun. The 6.5 gets most love about its significantly less recoil (equals higher accuracy) and it's deeper penetration and great accuracy due to its high BC and sectional density bullets. I think it and the .270 are a close contest. Of course...

So, the holidays are over and I still have a little bit of cash that the boss doesn't know about :secret: :D. I have been wanting to pick up something in 6.5 Creedmoor for a bit now and I think I have it narrowed down to a couple choices: (no particular order) 1. Tikka T3X CTR Bolt action 24"...

    Roll Tide

Geez, it was a joke!  Time to expand to a 16 team playoff, then maybe Alabama could find it's way back in... :hide: clarification: also a joke!

    Roll Tide

.....there may still be a way to squeeze Alabama in the playoffs. The committee is examining any possible way to make that happen as I post this :lol2:

Amen to that! It's pitiful far too often.

    Bucks only

Run into the same mentality here. Frustrating to let a decent young one walk by, only to hear the shots from 10 minutes down the same way he was headed. Strong hunting pressure on bucks in these parts. You can kill does in my county until you're tired of skinning them.

    walmart ammunition

Wal mart, Amazon, etc are simply glaring examples of the overall economic problem impacting our nation. Essentially, every aspect of industry and service has adopted this model. Go big or get out. It's everywhere. Agriculture, Healthcare, Retail, Communication, Manufacturing. All you have to do...

    walmart ammunition

I see my friend. You're definitely on the fringe with that line of thinking. "Brick and mortar" stores is such a stone aged line of thinking nowadays. We live in the era of cyberspace! ;-) Seriously though, Wal mart is getting and will continue to get what they deserve. It's the natural...
