I would also make dry hay available to him. Keep good blocks out for him as well.I love the Super R block that Purina makes.

    Bull or Steer?

I'll check with another vet. This vet won't even sell me banamine. But he will sell me Micotil. He said Banamine and ladicane had to be given by a vet.

    Bull Help

I wouldn't doubt if someone put something in him to lock him up.I have heard of people doing that to a scouring calf before. Then sell as fast as they can .Then its your problem when and if it does scour again. I would say you probably have more problems here than just the lock up.

    Bull or Steer?

I use the knife and have had very good luck with it. I know there has to be pain for the animal and I asked my vet about purchasing some of that numbing medicine. He said NO in no time short, I believe it would be better for the animal but I can't go to pay a vet every time I need a bull...

    Vomitting Calf

Your bloaters are always big eaters it seems to me. I got a big group in last year and it had one like that. Its not right something is messed up on the inside. That is probably why he is thin. I sold mine and about broke even. I doubt a calf like that will ever ammount to anything.

    gluten

Corn is high. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but I would think so. The place I buy my feed just raised prices on all feed across the board. They said it went up and they have to pass it on. It could be associated with the gasahol ethanol craze that is now taking place.
