spinandslide -- most areas of the country have the same problems, so it's safe to say that there are some vaccines that are the "norm."
First there's the viral diseases, which I think every area has... don't think any herd (esp if it's an open herd) is exempt. Viral diseases include BVD (types I and II), IBR, BRSV, and PI3. Most of the time the 5 strains of lepto will be included in this vaccination. The vaccine I use for this is Bovi-shield Gold FP 5 VL5. The "5" stands for the 5 viral diseases, the V is for vibrio, which you may or may not need to vaccinate against depending on your area. Vibrio is also an STD so if you're not vaccinating breeding stock I wouldn't worry about it. "L5" stands for the 5 strains of lepto.
Personally I prefer using a modified-live vaccine for the viral diseases as it provides better protection. You can use a killed vaccine if you prefer (that's what Virashield is).
Then there's the bacterial - in this case, clostridium - diseases, such as blackleg, tetanus, redwater, enterotoxemia, etc. This would be your standard "8 way" or "7 way" vaccination. I've never vaccinated for tetanus, but I do vaccinate for redwater. There's 7 common clostridums and then most vaccines will have either tetanus or redwater included. The vaccine I usually use is Ultrabac 8.
