My cow just calved about a week ago. How long after calving should I wait before applying a wormer and how old should the calf be before being wormed? Thank You for your advice.
You could worm the cow whenever you would like.
I would worm the calf at weaning or 2 - 4 weeks prior to weaning.

We worm our cows with injectable Ivomec in Nov or Dec, then use pour-on Ivomec in the spring. Occasionally we need to delouse around January.
The cow will do better if she isn't carrying a load of parasites while she's trying to raise a calf and get back into breeding condition. Worm her now. Worm the calf a few weeks before weaning, as suggested.
