I got about half right. the ones I knew are King George. The black box...Chinese Gooseberries...cat gut from being a cat lover and squirrel hair from being an artist.

I think we are all smart and the people who named these things like they did are stupid. ;-)

EX:
Hat from Ecuador should be called Ecuador hat.

Guts from horse of sheep should be called horsegut or sheepgut.

DUHHH :D

(You guessed it, I didn't do well either)

I passed - NOT! In fact, I only got one right, the "black box". It was about then I realized that the rest of the questions were trick and knew I had been "taken".

I got to King George, knew his first name wasn't George and realized something wasn't right...
How could Canary Islands be named after dogs???? Is there a breed of dog I don't know about called a canary?

....this site will help in finding out why it is named after a dog....
Now you would think those latins would know that the name of a dog is "dog". Why did they want to call a dog a bird?

haven't got a clue on that one..... The beache's in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are black, due to them being made up of Volcanic dust, it is clean but very hot on the feet, during the summer. There is a small place not far from their called Playa de Las Americas, and it is like a small English Town. The Islands are a nice Holiday (Vacation) destination. Although the official language is Spanish everyone speaks English.
