Winterizing new jiggs pasture

Hello. I sprigged about 5 acres of jiggs bermuda in May. It is doing good after an early battle with army worms. What are some suggestions for winter care of jiggs. Cut it,graze it,plant rye grass over it. I live in Southeast Texas. Thanks for any suggestions.
 
Cut it for hay if you can or lightly graze it. Either won't hurt.

I would stay away from planting rye grass in it. In our climate rye grass will be competing with the jigs in the spring. Most years, that jigs will start showing life in Feb.
