Thank youLooking good as always. Are you butchering any hogs this winter ?
I don't plant them in the spring they tend to boltLove that broccoli! I have my best luck in the spring.

That’s coming as soon as I retire.Thank you
..yea I will kill another 5 this year..... Waiting for you to get some lol
Last time I had any was when I bought 6 gilts to try to stop a 1/4 pond from leaking. It never started raining until they were about 250 lbs. Told my daughter that I would buy a bore to breed the gilts if she would feed and take care of them until they had their litters. And would give her all the money made from the sale of them. All I wanted was my pond sealed and she was saving to buy a car.Thank you

Thanks...No sir that cabbage won't make it out of November we love it with fried fat meat. If I ever have any left I'll try it.That is a lot of cabbage/broccoli, looks good. Do you dig a deep hole and put straw on it buried to store for the winter?
Burying cabbage in the ground to store through the winter works![]()
In October we decided to try burying cabbage plants (roots aiming toward the sky). Today, February 5, we dug it up. The outer leaves we brown and slightly gross but look at the head of cabbage! No bugs, still crisp!!!
I saw this online and understand it can be done in zones far colder than us but not sure how it would be in climates a lot warmer than us. (We are in middle TN)
BONUS the stem with the roots was starting to sprout new plants!!! So we planted that (right side up) to see if more cabbage grows.
We have several more still buried and will dig up as we need them.
I've never tried that and to be honest the cabbages don't make it that long I love itView attachment 62580
