What are you all using? I've been looking around and everything I've found seems pretty pricey, putting feed costs up to $300 a ton range with corn at $4.50 per bushel (160/ton) for a 13% blend. Most 32-40% pellets come in at close to 50 cents per pound. Anyone finding anything cheaper?

I can get 1/3 each corn, soy hull and gluten pellets for around $260. I raise my own corn, but don't haul to the mill which is 45 minutes away so that 260 is whole purchase price.

I don't actually have 4.50 in my corn but that's local cash price.

Have you ever asked your feed mill about grain banking corn or selling some to them to offset your feed costs? One of the feed mills I use would backhaul corn when they deliver feed if I wanted them to.

I can haul it, just haven't. Never thought about them back hauling. I'll ask them. Good idea.
