What do you do for fly control?

Mine ball up in the corner of the pasture during the day until the range grasses cure and everything gets dry, then the fly population seems to decrease too. Another couple weeks and things should be a little better. A couple cattle oilers would be nice to have.

I mix 4 oz of PB08 in a gallon of vegetable oil. Then 6 oz of a 35% permethrin product. I mist it on with a back sprayer. Have never had any issues. I mist while they eat in a line. I will cover ticks I see and still no issue. We don't use any diesel due to issues we have had. It would cause them to run away. Depending on amount of rain we get 10-14 days of control. Have got 3 weeks.

IGR in a feeder and permethrin in a spray bottle.
Catch them by the water.

I have birds that get going every time I move the cows. Sometimes a dozen. Have counted upwards of 40 of them. They sure take care of the flies.

In the past id walk back there and be inundated with flies. No I dont even notice them. Cows may have a couple dozen flies, but nothing seems to be aggravating them.

My does Neogen Stand Guard pour on only for use in Beef cattle? Is it because it can get into milk or just because it has never been tested on dairy stock? Insectrin dust back rubber is doing zero for flies here,
