weight of steers with horse weight tape?

Short answer: I don’t think so!
You would be better off using your bathroom scale. Just pick up the animal and step on your BR scale, then subtract your weight.

As long as it has inch measurements you could. There is a chart that shows estimated weights for each measurement.

Any real flexible tape measure would work.

why not get the real thing???.. a calf weight tape measure, they typically have readings for a steer or a heifer on one side or the other.

The beef tapes are only about $5, they have a body condition table that will allow you to convert the inches to a more accurate weight.

How on earth am I suppose to pick up a 6 month old calf to weight on my bathroom scale? The reason we ask about the tape is cause the animal is to big to pick up!!!
