weaning

Help Support CattleToday:

We keep them apart 4 to 6 weeks, fenceline weaning. When they are put back together they will frequently pal around with their mother but they don't nurse. But, (there is alwasy a but) the neighbor had a heifer that anytime she got near her mother she would nurse, she was a year and a half old and he finally sent her down the road because of it.
