We all know it when we see it. Call it what you want. Call it handouts, call it welfare, call it public assistance, call it charity, call it anything you want, just don't keep asking me to pay for it.

We have few paying for so many. So many politicians, government employees, deadbeats and more receiving money that so few of us working people must pay for. It's only a matter of time before that final straw breaks the camels back. The politicians can not tax us into prosperity, but they can tax us into bankruptcy. I for one am tired of it.

How about from now on, ANYONE getting ANY assistance at all be required to pass a drug test? I'm tired of seeing the crack and meth heads and hoes' and plain ole' deadbeats getting MY money. How about drug tests for all of the politicians too? Government workers must pass one, but NOT THE POLITICIANS?

Reparations? Pi$$ on the thought.

I don't think he is saying that at all. As a taxpayer I get pretty upset when I see government employees sleeping on the job or abusing their positions. I'm sure you see government employees who don't work or abuse their jobs as well. We see them too. I recently had one come by in a govt' vehicle wanting to hunt artifacts on the farm. What also gets my goat are the ones who take perks. Our road department manager and two commissioners recently accepted a two week trip out west to go hunting with a contractor. A few months later, the contractor was awarded a construction job. I could go on and on.

That said, I think there are many honest gov't workers but the few bad apples that are allowed to keep their positions leave a bad taste in the taxpayers mouth when asked to anny up some more money to pay for this.

I think I'll start my own law suit for reparations. If any of ya'll care to join me in it, we can go "Class Action" Here is a partial list of my rights that have been compromised, and in the modern day court action, I'll have LIVING defandants to call as witnesses.

A. All manufacturers of Boom Boxes, and Amplifiers, Speakers capable of being installed in ANY motor vehicle with a decibel rating over 50.

B.Gangsters promoting the music doctrined violence to threaten, cause harm or fatal injury to Law Enforcements, Their "mamas", "Sisters", "hoes" not limited to but implied to basically anyone that tries and stop them from stealing, dealing, pilfering etc. etc etc.

C. Wal-Mart stores. I'm due at least something in the way of "White Folk Hair Care" all I see is "Ethnic hair Care" I bought some stuff I thought was shampoo, but ended up being afro sheen and it clogged my pool filters when I went swimming.
Made the Exxon Valdez look tame.

D.Nice looking white wimmens running off with them boys from across the tracks. I'll never understand this one.

I am employed by the county. I am paid by the citizens of my county ~ their taxes. I pay taxes as well. I have paid taxes since I was old enough to work.

As to how many I work with want a chance to change? About 25%. The rest are repeat offenders.

Before I worked corrections I was a teacher ~ 14 years of teaching paid for by ........... guess....... yep you. I paid taxes then too.

I hear what you are saying. I do NOT however consider myself a "deadbeat" or a parasite living off of a host of taxpayers. I do not take without contributing, nor do I have an unnecessary position. I am not flying off to exotic climes for training in deescalation techniques and tazer procedure ~ thats what the conference room upstairs is for.

And sure I see people taking advantage of their position, but I think there are some on here that do that then justify it because they are stealing from their boss as opposed to their neighbor.

Good point and true. You're dealing with people. I used to work with gov't too and know many good people and a few sorry ones. Unfortunately, it seemed, with the government firing is not an option that is used very often. Promotions or transfers seem to be the solution or early retirement at worst.

But i have been wrong before. I have been in prison some years ago most of the people i saw in the joint didn't and was not interested in changing there ways. Young blacks when asked what they done outside would tell you sling dope and run whores, when asked what they were going to do when they got out they would tell you sling dope make some easy money. Also had them tell me that all white people owed them because there great great grandaddy was a slave. My great great grandaddy never owned any slaves nor any of the rest of us. Point is these people don't want a hand up they want a hand out. They think we white people owe it to them. There are some fine black folks in this country they are the ones you see going to work every day and paying taxes just like you me and all the rest of the hard working people in this country. If we cut off the hand outs they will roit and steal until we give the hand outs back or kill them.

When one third of a countries work force is employed in goverment service goverment is out of hand plain and simple. It cost the goverment somewhere about 58 cents out of every dollar they collect to regulate it and distribute it. Look at your state and county highway departments one man patching pot holes or mowing right of ways and 10 more standing around.

Then you have employees of the public utilities they start work at seven leave the job site at 9 for a coffe shop get back to the site at 10 and leave at 11;30 for lunch. They then do the afternoon break. pack up after break and return to headquarters. All the while billing the consumer for this half days work. Granted they do work when a storm or such hits while being paid double and triple time.

Speaking only for my area, your jabs at public workers are unfounded and require a refutation.
Overtime to public employees is a losing proposition for the worker. At least in Indiana, it is NOT double or triple time for plowing snow. And they can count on missing Christmas.
Remember, govt is inefficient by definition. No decision gets made without 100 people giving an opinion. That is in a small govt. Nothing gets done before everyone has a say.
Room for improvement? Of course. But at least up here public employees don't spend much time leaning on shovels.
I'm speaking only of the utilities, roads, and law enforcement folks.
The millions working for the IRS well get pink slips as soon as I am elected President.

If you are referring to what is also known as a "love offering", they would have to shut the doors in my county if they were depending on me. It has gotten utterly ridiculus. We recently paid $32,000 for a water fountain at the courthouse. :shock: The land that the courthouse is built own was purchased by the county commission from the chairman of the county commission for $375,000 per acre. :shock: (we aren't in Atlanta) County came to me asking me to donate some land to them as a good will gesture. YGTBFC Ha! I told them I might sell them some. They asked what price. I told them they already set the price when they bought the chairman's land and I'd be happy to settle for that.

Now that the FBI has finally come in and dethrowned three of the best judges money can buy, the DA, the sheriff, and several attorneys (all still walking the streets) I'm really unsure where we are going to be able to buy a verdict, or buy our way out of a DUI, or get off for murder, or get out of prison on the weekends. I'm just confused. Without these key members of our government, what are we to do?

I'm about sick of this stuff. And to think I indirectly fund this extortion and other criminal activities with my taxes. I'm not a democrat or a republican. I just vote for who I think is good. This year I'm changing strategies and am going to vote against every encumbant there is - with the exception of two - cause I'm sick of this cruel game they are playing. Sorry for the rant.
