Vehicle Insurance

I deal through a local agency... if something happens I call THEM.... period. One time someone said I should call the number on the ins card... and I said NO..... they were my agent and they would be taking care of it because I was paying for them to be my agent. End of story... they didn't like it... but the agent called me back and they did do the negotiating...
A call to your lawyer and a letter from him would have them thinking twice about the parts... but it would have cost you half of the money you had to put out for sure...

We have these guys.
Excellent to deal with.
Cheaper than Farm B. For ranch insurance.
They carry all our insurance.

That's who I'm presently insured (Auto-Owners) with and they were once the least cost option. But as of my research this month I've had quotes from Progressive and Farmers that beat what I'm presently being charged.

I tend to think my rates are being escalated by my agent for his own benefit. I'm still gathering evidence and asking questions though, so haven't decided what to do just yet.

I have had my farm liability, home. barns and personal property insured with Kentucky Growers for 52 years. They always sort of laugh when they see my policy number.
My truck and the wife's car are with State Farm. My wife has made a couple of claims on her SUV.
The rates have increased much more rapidly on the vehicle insurance.
When we have tried to shop around for prices on the farm insurance the competitors just say there is no need, we can not match those rates.

I am not tied to one company so l use selectquote.com . They find me the best rate. l find this to be the best way. Then me calling all the companies and getting quotes. Give it try see what you think and no l am not a sells person just trying to save a dollar when l can.

I just tried it. Like everything else it asks for a lot of information that will probably result in a lot of excessive advertising. In the end it only provided a single quote, this one for Progressive. I didn't even click on it since it seemed like it was directing me to a phone call.

The biggest consistency I've seen is that the premiums will go up whether you've filed a claim (or received a citation) or not. Have had a number of different insurance carriers over the years…when the premium starts getting out of control, we just start shopping around…doesn't seem to be any way around it.

Alarm bells ring when they say they are changing the policy to make it easier for me to understand, yeh right , they are trying to make it sound better to justify the increase in premium.

My wife had an accident in July. Not her fault. The other guy's insurance would only pay for aftermarket or used parts even though our SUV only had 18,000 miles on it.
We have Farm Bureau full coverage and they wouldn't make up the difference in new parts. For $6200 in damages we ended up paying almost $1500 for new Mopar parts. We argued with them from July until December and finally just paid for the new parts ourself.
There are some people online that fight insurance companies for things like this. I don't think they charge much and they get the companies to pay a premium. I saw a guy on facebook doing it.
