Got a 1/2" rain yesterday so I decided to set a fire this morning.

About 5 I heard a crash and it fell just like I wanted it to.

Glad to see it safely on the ground. Too bad you didn't get a video. I wanted to see it's demise.
Safest way to fell a tree, burn it down.
 
I never had any need for a leaf blower. Then I watched a BIL go around a stump like that every 20 minutes or so. Leaf blower would get it glowing hot. We'd cut a bunch of wood and he'd keep after the stump. Burned all the way down into the roots. Didn't take long.
