Last night was very scary for us! It was bad. We were listening to how a tornado had just touched down in Marshfield, and they said it was headed straight to Long Lane where we live. We rig up this tornado safe place in the pit (we hope it is safe) anyways safer than our mobile home. The lightening got so bad, then it started to hail, I was standing up in the alley with my hand on the door jam, and a bolt hit by the barn and I felt a shock in my hand, really freaked me out. The kids were already in the shelter in the pit and the rest of us climbed in when the barn on one side actually shook, then this noise I'm not kidding like a train noise went overhead, and it got really scary. i actually didn't know what would become of us.
We go in the house thinking the worst is over and then the weather radio goes off every 30 minutes, tornado warning here, there and everywhere, it was a long night. I know this, we are investing in a underground tornado shelter very soon. never want to go thru anything like this again.
This morning I heard that one person died in Marshfield and one in Strafford, definetely too close for my piece of mind.
Hope everyone else in MO, on the other side of Springfield is ok.
