When you buy tomato plants lots of times they have booms on them even thought the plant is only 3 to 6 inches tall. I pinch the blooms off so all the energy will go to the plant. How tall should the plants be to let the blooms develop?

Stop talking about tomatoes! It's depressing to us folk up here.. We have 4 months before we can even dream of them!

I'd let them get 18-24" tall, but a bit of that may depend on the variety.

I don't buy plants that are blooming. To much transplant shock. I Plant them deep or in a trench covering the stem up to the top few leaves. They will root along the stem.
