Hi guys,
Does anyone know when Limo and/or Lowline judging is at Sydney?
I've tried to get on to the show site, but my bl@@dy computer won't let me.
Just hoping to get in contact with a mate who's down there to see how they did after the judging.

Thanks if anyone can help :)

Unfortunately not Bek. I was supposed to be working with some blacks but my boss has to take a truck of bulls up to Qld so I can't get away from here. Plus I need to get a start on my Dubbo team if I want holidays before then!!
So wish I was going to Sydney though, I miss the Clydey!!

Ah that sucks. I was supposed to be heading down, but the person I was supposed to go with decided they weren't going anymore.

What's it like compared to the Ekka. I figured you'd be the best person to ask since you've done both.

I've done the Ekka so many times it's not funny, I've been told Ekka's bigger, but not as good. Or the other way round, :p Can't remember.

hmmm, I'm trying to think which is bigger. I think cattle numbers are similar, but Ekka is much more fun coz there's more bars and more socialising. I found that alot of people at Sydney were too serious about everything and didn't have enough fun. But the Clydey is really good, when there's cattle people there and no full of horsey chicks!!!
But nothing beats Adelaide for fun!!!! :p

Lol, in total we counted 11 bars at the Ekka I think...Not that I'm allowed in them, being underage..but gee there's some stories from there. 2 Within throwing distance of the shed. Cattleman's & Stockman's. Plus the restaurant over the lane from Stockman's...I think that may be licensed aswell.

Ekka is always fun, no one takes anything seriously...except when there was this armed robber going around, breaking into the rooms & feed lockers, while we were still in the sheds...that's about the only thing we took seriously the whole week. And I always love the Ekka because you can walk up to anyone, well cattle people(the horsey people there are all snobby buggers), and have a good conversation with them.

Adelaide for fun ay, I'll have to get down there in the next few years and see if you're right :p

Brisbane Show is an enjoyable show, more cattle variety because of the Bos Indicus cattle that are there in numbers. Sydney just has a token number of BI breeds. Melbourne tends to have a few more of the lesser known breeds, Welsh Blacks,Highlands and a couple of others that I can't think of at the minute.

Melbourne generally has a few british whites, belgian blues, south devons, sometimes gelbvieh, welsh black, highland, salers.

Sydney usually has a good representative of both Romagnola and Piedmontese that you dont generally see at melbourne. Also usually a couple head of Pinzgauer.

Canberra has braunviehs that usually arent elsewhere.

I agree colin, the BI section at Sydney is usually pretty pitiful too. Same with Melbourne.

Hey Carla, shorties did amazingly!
