My animals are 30 minutes away on a normal day over a hour now. When is the best time to feed during this cold snap? I am thinking late afternoon so they can use it to keep them warm throughout the night..

I personally feed at late evening to try and maximize day births but everything I've ever read (or heard) concerning meeting their nutritional needs says no difference between times. I'm more concerned about getting there and back. The cattle that are not at home were feeding middle of the day simply because the roads are safest
