Had trouble with a 4 year old Angus getting lazy with the 25 cows in his herd. Bought a yearling and put in the same pasture. Old bull woke up and is now taking care of business due to competition. The age difference seems to eliminate fighting. The young bull does the "leg work" of getting the cows reasy and then the old bull steps in and finishes. I will keep 2 bulls with each herd from now on.
