They always seem to know when I'm stove up and can't go after them......

Been a few weeks since I went down to the pond. Found this today.

They've started in on the pine trees that help hold the dam. Hard to see but they've just about circled every tree.

That's what neighbors are for - to help when you can't help yourself. Surely someone nearby can spare an afternoon to help a fella out?

They probably will/would Aaron. I just realized the damage was being done yesterday.
I have a grown son lives about 25 miles away..he helped me set the traps last time they made a nuisance of themselves--I'll have to give him a call first as my neighbors all work daytime at the plants over on the ship channel--the ones that aren't older and in worse shape than I am.

Had one in a trap Wed morning.
I noticed this morning that they had been working again in at least 2 different places hundreds of yards apart and could see they had chewed a lot more bark off a downed pine sapling.
I didn't get the game cam positioned very good, and I had to look hard to see what triggered the shot. Eyes don't glow with a regular light but will under infrared.
