These people should be arrested and fired

I've talked with a number of doctors informally over the years. The consensus was that homosexuality (and probably now the transexuality) think is little more than a conscious decision made by the individual because of their inability to fit into their actual and real "sex". They decide to be homosexual and hang out with people that think the same way. Gives them a sense of security and acceptance. A mutual admiration society I guess you could say.

That's their right and I'm good with it, just don't try and jam that crap down my throat. The transgender bs and using the bathroom of your choice or whatever sex you relate to is just wrong.

Doctors don't even know what they don't know.
200 years ago Europe's top doctors killed King George by bleeding bowls of blood from him in an effort to cure him.
100 years ago doctors in the usa promoted smoking after a meal to aid digestion.
60 years ago lobotomies were thought of as an aid in helping the mentally ill and their care givers.
In 40 years people will look back and laugh at our current understanding of mental illnesses.

Absolutely.....but what we do today is cutting edge for it's time. But then I'm an optimist.

I think that in "some" cases you might be onto something. I Remember watching my sister and my mother slowly turn my little brother queer as they come. Funny thing is when he had a chance to marry for a huge sum of money he was able to "correct" his sexuality for a few years until the money ran out. Of course he is also a degenerate gambler, and a drug addict(despite his PHD and being the worlds smartest person). My point is I believe they MADE him. Something else curious happened with him. I read a study that said that a disproportionally large of gay men came from families where they were the youngest of several brothers. So who knows.

On the other hand I have a very good friend who is Gay and he tells me he can't remember a time when he didn't feel like he wasn't like other boys/men....so who knows

I think the transgender thing could have been avoided if they just shut up and went to the bathroom....

On the other hand I DO NOT believe that TRANSVESTITES deserve ANY protection.

The original 'transgender' restroom.

The only way to really shut up the whole "bathroom for the sex you identify with" and to not "make them feel like they are being singled out" is to just have a couple of bathrooms that are singles right next to each other. Each has it's own door to lock, and that's it. Sure that is not going to be very economical to build, but I certainly would not want my 10 or 12 year old daughter having to use a bathroom with a "physically made male" regardless of what sex he "identifies with". Sure, all kids that are farm raised are a little more practical with the whole "difference" between the sexes...but I can tell you that I would not want to be going into a bathroom with a physically made man at this age either, just cuz he identifies with the female sex.
Don't go out of my way to be friends with any of the ones that are not "straight" but I don't try to avoid them either. I am a little uncomfortable with the mannerisms of some of them though, and prefer to not have to deal with the ones that dress or act outlandishly. I am pretty conservative so it's probably just me.

Have an old friend who has three daughters. Oldest daughter married and had two sons. Eventually divorced, declared that she was lesbian and immediately began a homosexual relationship with another lesbian. Things rocked along well until one day she walks in the house with this big "buck" and announces that she is now bi-sexual. This lasted about 6 months and she quit him and began housekeeping with another lesbian. She's now out of that relationship and I suppose still pondering what her next move will be. Beats the he// out of me what they think or why !!!!! Must just be a mental thing but not necessarily what some call "mental illness".

Sounds bi to me. Some people are just in the middle of the spectrum in terms of what gender they're attracted to. I have known a few (and probably more that I didn't know were). Doesn't bother me a bit. What they do is their business. Way more important things to worry about in the world, right?

How has this thread avoided the lock?
Probably because my belligerent arse posted in the wrong thread, and the mod took pity on me, knowing I wasn't being contrary with any person on this forum. Friends don't let friends post drunk. You should have been there for me Tux :)
Apologies from me to all. This Obama phone is too small to effect accurate replies, especially when my eyes are crossed with Uncle Red's Clear.

I think that is part of the solution. It's their business. They need to keep it their business!

Don't need days set aside for them to parade and display themselves. Don't need laws defining where they pee. They don't need to tell anyone but their "mate". Keep their sexual practice to themselves, not on the news, internet or any place else to get attention.

If they can't keep their business out of my life, they shouldn't expect any compassion from me.

I think just about everyone deserves compassion. I have known gay people (and called a few "friend") and have never had a single one of them "flaunt" it. They are simply living their lives, and just want not to be bothered or harassed. Yeah a few parade around on a float one day a year, big deal. I'm not threatened by it, doesn't affect my life one whit. Matter of fact, I have heard less s3x talk from gay folks I have known, than I have seen on CT....make of that what you will.
