I hope I didn't hijack the kids thread, but I just heard about the knockout game yesterday so it's fresh on my mind. The basis of it is some, mostly young adults or older kids, wonder down the street acting like they are minding their own business then sucker punch some unsuspecting bystander. The goal is to knock them out with one punch.

As I stated in the other post a couple of these thugs need to have the guy get up with his/her gun in hand and put one in their head ..... In front of the rest of the animal pack.

This is sub human and the punishment dished out to the thug needs to be much worst then the punishment they gave out.

Real life, my wife told me there has been one guy who got up and pulled his conceal weapon but didn't shoot the punk. I think video games can't take some of the blame for this type of action.

In order to be politically correct and not get this thread locked:

It is indeed happening.

It has been happening for some time.

It is not just any group of kids - which is how it is often described.

In fact it is for the most part race based assault on unsuspecting victims - usually of the opposite race.

It has been for the most part ignored until very recently by the media for various reasons.

I will let it go at that - if you are interested you can do your own due dilligence - there is a tonne of it out there including many YouTube clips.

I would say this - it is not a testament to the kinder and gentler parts of humanity.

Makes one wonder what this world is coming to.

Rather depressing at times to think about, isn't it? :frowns:

The vast majority of these assaults is Black on White crime..Apparently this does not seem to make the grade of a hate crime.

However when a Arab man did it to a Orthodox Jewish man it qualified as a hate crime.
Amrit Marajh, 28, was charged with harassment as a hate crime after he allegedly punched the 24-year-old Orthodox Jewish man Friday morning.

God forbid we would ever call a spade a spade in this country.

A friend of my son got punched a couple of years ago in one of these incidents. He's a pretty big kid and it broke his jaw and eye socket. For the record it was a brown on white poke....
Dangerous " sport" most likely spurred by the viciousness of today's popular mixed martial arts cage fighting.

I am gonna go out on a limb and predict that some old fart will end up bustin a cap on some gang banger because he thyought a knockout was coming his way.

Then you will see the hate crime charges

You punch me and you better knock me out with one cause i will pull and wont hesitate to fire. I heard about grown men doing this a couple years ago but did not know it was a popular thing to do.

I got it done to me when I was 13. He hit me in the nose with brass knuckles and shattered my nose. Took 2 reconstructive surgeries to repair. He was an 18 yo gang member who is now in prison for murder.

Sounds like a good place for the..... Well, never mind I don't talk like that.

I had it done to me once. But it was in a bar in Canada, in a town on rodeo weekend, and the guy who threw the punch was a drunken Indian. I didn't know it was a game. I always figure that he just thought it was time for the fighting to start...... and it worked because the fighting sure started. On a scale of 1 to 10 as bar room brawls go it was about a 6 or maybe a 7. Above average but not out standing.

That's the first sentence of your best-selling novel!

We just took a few minutes to play cowboys and Indians. All in good fun. Then just like in the movies the Mounties showed up to save the day.

As with many other things in life, somehow I have missed "The Knockout Game". I know that places like where I live, a rural county in the Bible Belt, I and my neighbors are the last to know. I can say without doubt; If this ever happened to someone I care about, the "accused" would become hog feed. There is no place in this world for such animals. There is no need for a jury of peers. Dead where they stand.

Are the victims not paying attention to their surroundings ? You would have a hard time sneaking up on me. I watch everyone within 20 yards of me .. I'm afraid if this does happen to me the cops won't need to look far for the bad guy.

The bad thing about being in towns is people get to close.
