I just wanted to thank all you regulars out there who post all the replies. I have been reading about every post on the site over the last few weeks to try and take in as much info as possible.
I purchased two baby calves (steers, well, soon to be) from a local dairy last week (1 holstein, 1 holstein/brown swiss). The holstein wouldn't take a bottle the first day and was scouring. Thanks to the stuff I learned on here, I 've got him back to full health. I ended up tubing him with two quarts of electrolytes plus and gave two sustain III bolus tablets as well as a shot of Nuflor (I think thats how its spelled). Anyway, I called a fella down here that runs about 4,000 head a year through the feedlots and the advice he gave me was the same as what I had already picked up on here. Thanks again. I look forward to learnin a lot more on here.
