To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:
888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a
minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. PASS THIS ON
TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS...

True to a point, but not really anything to worry about. This has already happened. Telemarketers aren't allowed to call cell phones. A while back, number portability went into affect allowing people to take their numbers with them when they changed from land lines to cell phones or cell phone to cell phone. What this did is made it impossible to identify whether a number was a cell phone or land line. So you could get a call on your cell, IF the number used to be a land line and wasn't on the DNC list.
