tb was found in grand prairie high school . interview of 1 student said ,I think it's an old people desease.
im glad im not old .
polio, we have spent billions of dollars trying to eradicate it . it keeps coming from other countries .
mers is flu like symptoms leading to breating problem and death .
we get all kinda stuff from other counties ,food clothing etc.
are not these things checked ? :bang:

Polio - common in third world countries to this day. You allow immigration from those countries and you will bring it in. You cannot disallow immigrationany more because some bleeding heart in your country will be in court - spending millions to get some judge to tell you to shut up and bring in the "poor people" who need your help and then suck you dry.

Polio - is being used as a weapon in some third world conflicts now.

TB - I would like to kick that stupid, smart phone carrying, entitled effing kid in the teeth and do even more to his entitled parents. TB is a disease that takes them young and old and is very prevalent in many third world countries - how ignorant and how stupid is the younger generation of today - and I know that when I look in the mirror I am one of millions who are to blame for this. And so are you the reader!!

MERS - new? Probably not - will it spread? Yup - and you can thank the airplane for that. One Florida doctor is now in Toronto in isolation because of MERS - and he infected how many by travelling? Plus the lack of resolve to isolate countries when there are serious disease outbreaks - all because "business and politics" will suffer - but screw those who will die. Example - a bunch of Canadians died in Toronto a few years ago - all because someone brought back something from a third world country called SARS - severe acute respiratory syndrome came from China - wait until bird flu amd pig flu hit. And you can be sure the doors to travel between China and the world will not shut down - too expensive!

We are only one politically correct move away from a pandemic - simply because there is no will to shut down international travel in a heart beat if the risk of disease spreading rapidly is detected.

And yes, your Mexican border jumpers are bringing in all sorts of stuff - as are the illegals that come to Canada. My "isolate them and transprt them back asap" - with no over night stay allowed makes me a villain among the Canuckleheads up here.

Well, I'm a canucknucklehead who agrees with you completely Bez!... And something CAN be done about it if there's the will,... Switzerland just voted yes to a serious immigration reform, the politicians were against it but it went to a referendum and passed... So now a LOT of agreements with the EU have to be renegotiated, and there will be some economic loss, but it seems like the people were fed up enough to accept some bad tasting medicine to achieve a greater goal

About 12 years ago, when the SARS outbreak was big news, my coworker and I caught a cough that was damn bad, he got it worse than I did. Went to doctors, etc and they said it wasn't SARS, but maybe something in the warehouse dust? Whatever it was he had a cough so bad he was off work and coughing blood for 2 months, I just had a nagging cough I couldn't shake.
