I gave a heifer some probiotics this morning. I followed them out in the pasture and watched her today. She walks around with her tail in the air like she is going to crap and keep it in the air for about 5 minutes at a time. She is eating but not as much as the others.

They will start helping right away. Mine have an increase in appetite in just a couple of days of it in their grain. I use it to get calves worked up on grain when I am showing them. Everyone else gets them during show season to keep their gut in check while away from home.
Probios won't hurt her or make her sick.

I had a cow act that way recently and she was mineral/salt deficient. Gave her free choice mineral and she was fine in a couple of days. I had bought her at a local sale tho.

They worked today. She was chewing ger cud tonight. Something she has not done since I owned her.

Great! I would keep it up for a week or so.
You got the powder form that you can just sprinkle on some grain right?
