Tail-less calf

HI, i had a calf born in may that didn't have a tail. She was a Simmental/Hereford cross heifer calf. The vet mentioned that she might have had spinebifida(sp?) but i was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I am a 4-H member and i wanted to give my required demonstration on this disease. if you know anything at all regarding this please let me know. Thank you!

The disease is called spina bifida. If you search on google for it, I'm sure you'll pull up a lot of information. Ask again if there's anything I have to clarify for you! Good Luck V
