We are dying to stop having heifers for about 3 straight years. Lol.
I think all the bull making sperm in our semen tank must have died...
 
Balls everywhere. After running "about" 50/50 for the last few years, this time we got 10 of 12 were bull calves and one of the 2 heifer calves died at 2 days.

I have some lines of cows that produce more heifers than steer, my old girl has had 11 heifers and 5 steers, her mother was about 8/5, and then I have some cows that I'm thinking should give me a good heifer, and 4 years later I'm still waiting... I prefer that their first calf is a heifer as they're usually considerably lighter BW's.
