13 (16?) % Dairy mash... Something with molasses and a good mix of grains in it.

Stabilized rice bran adds fat to ration and won't burn the hair off if that is what you are asking. Don't go more than about 4-5% of the ration with fat or they will get the squirts. Then use Full Tank or one of the other filler type feeds to belly them down. You might ask on Steer Planet - there are some show cattle folks there who can help you out.

LOL - I'm not a "hair" person. Guess I should not have tried to answer. Yes, we use filler pellets - Ultra Full & Depth Charge.

It's been about 7-8 years since we needed steers to be fuzzy. I'm pretty much out of the loop on show cattle.
