Stockpiling Common Lespedeza

I have quite a bit of 5-7 inch tall common lespediza in my pastures. I was wondering if I could graze the cows on it and fescue throughout the winter? Has anyone ever done this and if so what were the results?

You can graze it till its gone but once it gets to a certain temp normally December personally I see lil to no growth of it or fescue sometimes before.. That's just my personal experience. It will have a growth spurt for a while now then fizzle out.

Lespedeza will go to seed and when it does it can affect a cows milk production.

Graze it will it's green. When it turns brown or dies it just breaks up into powder when it's walked on. We haven;t had any really cold weather, a couple of nights in the 40s but ours has all died back already
