first group of 9 cows are due Dec. 13th - 15th. first one calved on Dec. 4th with no problem. second one had a set of twins B & H; of course she only want one so back to bottle feeding. third had to pull a backwards calf
but mom and baby doing OK after a little mouth to nostril CPR to get calf breathing. fourth cow also pulled backwards calf, this time calf puller needed since it was a bigger calf, but mom and baby doing good so far. cow number 5 had calf with no problem. my lovely wife is monitoring them now that I am back to work. She is a little nervous now after helping with two backwards calves since she will be by herself.

Seems like those kinds of problems come all at once. Seems like you can go years without a calving problem and then have 3 big or backwards calves in 2 weeks. Same bulls, cows, management. Just a bunch of them at once and then no more for a long time. Hope your problems are behind you.
