Sowing Fescue

I plan to over seed some rye grass on pasture land next. While I am sowing, I'm thinking about sowing some fescue as well.
What do you think, will I be OK in sowing fescue now in North Alabama?

Should work ok if you drill it. Broadcasting qill work on fairly open ground as long as you do;t get many prolonged 20 degree days and nights

We planted fescue mixed with a little Orchard grass seed this week along with rye on some hay ground. Drilled all.

I like to drill and have done that when planting my Fescue, because I get uniform coverage. With a fertilizer spreader slinging it, I don't know where it goes nor how much. Then with the light harrow over it it's still catch 22.

I think I would wait on the fescue if broadcasting .
