Bobcat i say. Although most people don't see them if they had a camera in their yard they would probably get a picture of one. I see tracks almost daily but only seen one all winter.
Middle Tennessee. Taken last month.

Bobcat for sure. Have taken many in my younger years. IR night pics do not display color or shading the same as daylight
I saw that too but I think it's something on the ground. Is that not a tail? Or what am I looking at?
In the TT photo what appears to be a tail could be a leaf or something, and in the background looks like a cow paddy to me.
This is from a trail cam, showing what we thought was a bobcat (about 50' from the house).

@kenny thomasI have seen a black panther with cubs around Sneedville, TN. When I was a teenager. Whole family saw them.
To me that looks like a young adult mountain lion.
What happened TT go to bed cause he drive a Ford.
Bahahahahahaha!!
I have to agree with CB here. The North American Mountain Lion does not come in the color black. That does not mean that some from. South American were not brought in as pets and later released.Cougars in Tennessee | State of Tennessee, Wildlife Resources Agency
The cougar, Puma concolor, also known as mountain lion, panther, painter, puma and catamount, is the largest feline animal in North America. Until very recently there haven't been been any cougars in Tennessee.www.tn.gov
No black color phase (termed melanistic) of a cougar has ever been documented. There is, however, documentation of melanistic jaguars (Panthera onca) that live in Mexico and south to northern Argentina, as well as melanistic leopards (Panthera pardus) in Africa.
NoCan a mountain lion/panther mate with a bobcat? I mean does it happen?
