I have never shown before and will show my first brahman heifer Next year.
I would love t have some of the money from having a winning steer!! But why would do they pay so much for a steer? You cannot get semen off them. What do the with the steers after they buy them for 100K+?

Just alot of hype and advertising.
There are clones of champion steers out there winning shows and siring calves.
Another example of how reality based the whole club calf racket is. It's fun and makes some people a lot of money but commerical beef production has very little to do with it. Different stokes for different folks.
