We sprayed a pasture that has 2 yo mesquite growth that's about waist high.
Scendero/remedy mix in S. TX

Question is, what to do now that pasture is sprayed...

Leave the pasture alone until the brush rots off or shred it off this fall?
Has good grass, mix of native grasses and bermuda.

Whatever you do, don't shred them. When the cows start breaking them off, it is then safe to remove them. They should snap off at ground level when they are truly dead. If they flex at all, leave them. This will usually take a year, sometimes two.

When I'm attacking a new pasture you spray on year one, touch up on year two. Start clean up and touch up again on year three. Clean up the balance on year four and start maintenance spraying new seedlings.

Leave it until it breaks off. I usually walk thru there and kick it with my foot or hit it with the utv tire. As a general rule I do a minimum of 2 years, 3 is better, 4 is great. The shorter the time period you wait the higher the chance of some coming back.

I just check mine. Scrape the bark on a few in different areas. Leave it if it's green, shred if it's not.
