I said the next time this ole gal went into the lot she was taking the one way ride to the sale barn . Well , yesterday was it ! She kept my cowboys on their toes while working the big pasture herd . I finally went and hooked up the trailer and we loaded her . She will sell Tuesday at Ft Payne Al if you want her . Got to the barn after calling the owner and he said no one would be there , just put her in a pen with water and hay . Well she got me before we said our goodbyes . Pushed the gate over me as I was shutting it and knocked me down . Thankfully it caught in the alleyway and she didn’t jump up and down on me . Called the salebarn owner and told him to tell the hands to be heads up when handling her .

Its always such a relief when those cows are gone.

I don't know what it is... but every single cow I've had with those uniform white blazes down their face have been crazy. The brockle face animals are fine, but that pretty white blaze is always a trouble maker. Good riddance!

I have just had a knee replacement and clinchvalley86 is bringing me a Limousine cow that will make that one seem like a milk cow. Maybe he thinks I can't run now and he can knock me off.

Pretty sore this morning , left arm bothering me the most . Trouble raising it and of course my back hurts every morning but a little more today . While I was laying there I fully expected her to stomp me or give ma roll in the dirt . Glad that gate had a catch in the alleyway ! Calf went with 8 more to Arab stockyard . Worse calf she had raised . Caught him stealing milk from whatever he could get away with it . Another reason she needed to go .

Always better to sell them when you can, than regret it later. They should bring in a few bucks for a replacement.

Ironically, one of my faves is aptly named Blaze and sweetest thing ever. Kept the first heifer she's given me last year (Fire!) and considering keeping the one she had this year (Ember). But neither heifer has the blaze face, they're solid black.

Kind of like the beautiful blond model type, that think they're too much "all that" for their own good. They've got DANGER, STAY AWAY written all over 'em... but they sure are PURDY! All the young bucks drool after 'em... it's only the experienced that can look past 'em and keep right on walkin'.

We’ve got several blaze face but no bad attitudes except Miss Potts . My grand daughter named her after her kindergarten teacher . Mom was a little fast but I think the simental cross jacked her up a little more . My other blaze face are Hereford / angus crosses .

Bad behavior like that will get a cow sold off our place quicker than raising a crappy calf. We're both too old and slow for that mess!

Yes ! She was probably 4-5 months bred back but I wouldn’t do anyone like that ! She was calm when she came in the ring . Of course I wasn’t in front of her with that bullseye she put on me .
