Setting up heifer

Hey, im new at all this show stuff and i was wondering how you set up you heifers feet? do you set them up square underneath or with one sticking out? thanks for any advice!

Most of the time if you are side by side with other heifers you will set her up square, and if you are profile to the judge (heifers lined up head to tail) you will want to set her up with the back leg on the judge's side a little bit back.

I would also suggest setting the legs in the same order. After a while the heifer should the become automatic. If you are real lucky they will walk into place.

THIS site is a TEXTBOOK for any Beef Breeder - of whatever age! I wish I would have had access to this work when I was in Ag College! I think I would have made a better impression on my Livestock Judging Prof! Wheww - he was one tough cookie. And not very nice, either. :devil2:
